As in a state-funded ophthalmology outpatient clinic/ambulance, we also offer a basic ophthalmological examination, which includes: 

A trained ophthalmic assistant will carry out a preliminary examination:
- visual acuity measurement
- objective refraction measurement (autorefractometry)
- non-contact intraocular pressure measurement.

This is followed by examinations by our ophthalmologists:
- subjective refraction / eye glasses adjustment or control
- intraocular pressure measurement (applanation method)
- slit-lamp microscopy
- fundus examination - mostly under pupil dilation.

If our eye specialist considers that further instrumental examinations are necessary, this is always indicated to the patient. You can find the prices for these examinations under "Prices" in the top main menu.

The following diagnostic instruments are available in our outpatient clinic:
- optical coherence tomography (OCT - Heidelberg Engineering GmbH) - retina/macula and optic nerve examination
- Fluorescein angiography (FAG - Heidelberg Engineering GmbH) - vascular staining, fundus circulation
- Heidelberg Retina Tomograph (HRT - Heidelberg Engineering GmbH) - optic nerve examination
- IOL-Master (Zeiss) - measurement for intraocular lenses/biometry
- Ultrasound (Alcon)

Our laser treatments for retinal diseases, lens capsule opacities and glaucoma/iridotomy are performed with Visulas YAG II Plus (Carl Zeiss Meditech)
